Buckenham Coffee House

Created in a carefully restored and converted cellar of the house of a Tudor Merchant, Richard Buckenham, after whom the house is named, it was the last part of the house to come into use again. In the walls you can see examples of Tudor brickwork and original load-bearing timbers in the ceiling.

The menu consists of sandwiches and light meals served throughout the day and for those of you who cannot resist, a selection of the most ‘wicked’ cakes and pastries you could ever want. To compliment these is a selection of speciality teas and coffees; fruit juices and mineral water.

If you are looking for somewhere to meet friends; to rest after a walk in the beautiful surroundings of Southwold; or to sit and contemplate a purchase from the gallery the coffee house is an ideal place in which to do it.
