Harriet produces sculptures
of animals that are so full of life that you would
never realise that they are made from offcuts and
scrap pieces of metal. Whether using a broken piece
of a hacksaw blade in a leg; strands of barbed wire
in a tail; or coils of rejected chicken wire to
delineate a body Harriet fuses these disparate pieces
so that the finished object is far more than the
sum of its parts. Whether it is an insect or a full
size horse Harriets sculptures are a perfect study.
Her bronze sculptures are also imbued with delicacy
and a strong sense of movement. Their monumentality
is evident whatever the size of the finished piece.
Harriet studied at the Hertfordshire College of
Art & Design before going on to the Norfolk
Institute of Art & Design where she gained a
BA(Hons) in sculpture. She has been continuously
in demand for exhibitions and commissions and is
a full member of the Society of Wildlife Artists.
