Having trained at Dartington College of Arts, I then started painting again in Harwich encouraged by a flourishing artistic community. I now work in Suffolk and exhibit in Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. I paint and sketch, and am also a Garden Designer.
I study landscapes, still life and occasionally portraits. I emphasize the use of colour, pattern and texture. My medium of the moment is oils, but I also paint with oil pastels and watercolours and acrylics. I work from sketches and use them as a starting point. I aim to create bold, bright, stimulating images that attract and maintain interest in the observer.
