Having graduated from the Ipswich School of Art in 1981, Alison Malcolm lives and paints in Suffolk finding inspiration in the countryside and the changing seasons.
Working in oils and mixed media, Alison in interest in surface texture and richness of colour. Many of her paintings are of Suffolk, but as a regular traveller, she paints many of her favourite places.
Sometimes quiet and contemplative, others explode with engery and dynamism, her work evokes a sense of space. Semi abstract in nature, the variety of colour and texture heighten the impact of the composition.
